Blur Media is a “unique” in-house production company based in Oslo, Norway.
Consisting of three dudes with a decade of experience and an ever growing passion for their work, Blur Media keeps evolving and pushing the bar.
With endless creativity and award winning experience, Blur Media stands out amongst the wast depth of production companies.
Growing up, the boys were heavily inspired by the extreme sport films of the time, the three childhood friends found the passion for filmmaking early on. They soon found themselves more behind the camera than the bars.
It was a way to express their vision and perspective on their passion for MTB.
Coming up from extreme sport films meant there were no limits but the creativity. Complete freedom to experiment and make a unique vision on the sport.
This evolved into the creation of Blur Media, and a decade later the same vision and initial passion is core values.
Coming from the extreme sports background means making the most out of the less.

The story
of blur media
where we started
Blur Media’s interest in film started while mountain biking at a young age, heavily inspired by the free ride films of that time. The passion visual storytelling sparked a fire in all of them.
They wanted to make art pieces which stuck with people and left a mark.
This followed with bachelor degree in film production and Master in Economics. Axel, Herman and Oscar joined forces late 2013 and formed Blur Media. Their unique style got the opportunity to create variety of productions all from event film, commercials to music videos for big names like Red Bull, Sweet Protection, Equipnor.
A lot of different production created an expertise in a majority of parts involving in film productions. We learned to work effective and tried to deliver something special with every production.

TURNING POINT
Back to the roots
After 7 years in the commercial market, they teamed up with Brage Vestavik in 2018 to fullfill their dream of making their very own MTB film. Experimenting and creating their very own vibe and expression.
This became “Out There”.
out there
"OUT THERE" is a film produced by Blur Media during Brage Vestavik's off-season. Hanging out, digging and riding in his small hometown Mysen, Norway.
Out There was received as a breath of fresh air, as a heavy, nordic freeride film. It quickly made and inspired a new fan base, a new vibe.
Brage and the guys at Blur became best of friends and started doing everything together.
2020
In 2020, after four big projects, an invite to the inaugural X Games Real MTB arrived. An incredible opportunity to show their unique style to the world, and the response was mind blowing. They left with a second place and an overwhelming fan favourite.

Invited to X games and become a silver medalist and the favourite among the fans.
The video also won the official “Video of The year” and fan favourite “Video of The year” at the annual Pinkbike Awards in 2021.

Blur Media has earned a lot of experience in making the most out of the less.
Their productions has created a huge impact in a community and earned them Video of The Year, two years in a row, in the annual Pinkbike Awards.
Both years with an overwhelming fan favourite as well.
Everything we have achieved so far has just sparked the flame of really push towards our mission. To create bigger and unique productions that will live for decades, that generations after us will still be inspired by.
